Let me start off by saying that I am a diehard Marvel Cinematic Universe fan, NOT the comics. Props to you for the dedication, but that’s not my jam.

I say this because anytime I get excited over anything in the MCU, someone never fails to point out, “That’s not what happened in the comics!!”  Blah! Blah! Blah! Just let me live, and enjoy my superheroes and anti-heroes!

Now with that out the way… Moon Knight is friggin awesome!!

The series stars Oscar Isaac and premiered on March 30th on Disney+, with new episodes every Wednesday. I thought that I would be disappointed, since Issac speaks with a British accent in his role, but I am happy to report that was not the case!

Isaac plays the role of Steven Grant, a mild-mannered museum gift-shop employee, a fan of Ancienty Egypt, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life.  For those that follow the comics, this other life he experiences is a mercenary Marc Spector. Hint: You will also hear Issac act in his original voice and accent! (For us Issac fans!!)O

As we enter the new phase of the Multiverse in the MCU, the action has been turned up by about 10x. This series is NO EXCEPTION. From the beginning, this episode has you thinking…WTF?!?

Moon Knight is a wild and crazy ride, that leaves you clapping even during the closing credits, wondering what will the next episode answer, but also knowing Marvel, what new questions will the next episode have?!?

For those reasons alone, I give the show 5 Stars, or in my case, 5 Pupusas…revueltas at that!!

What were your thoughts?!
