Editorial Writing Intern/Volunteer

Wafi Media is seeking to fill an Editorial Writing position.

DESCRIPTION:

Wafi Media is looking for contributing writers! Contributors should be passionate about Latin Community topics rights and culture. The desirable applicant is a smart, enthusiastic, independent writer who can produce high quality content frequently. This position is remote. This an exciting opportunity to work for a team that is making an impact and Celebrating Latin Excellence!

The position is REMOTE.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the writing of news, features, and trending articles that are relating to Latino/Latina Culture
Contribute to editorial planning meetings
Manage personal assignments in Notion and collaborate with the editorial team via Slack
Assist the Corporate, Social + Branding teams in the creation and management context.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external correspondence
Ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced and demanding professional environment
Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
Must maintain a high level of professionalism and maintain confidentiality, as this position represents a high level of management
Have a sense of humor and knows how to integrate it into writing.
A good collaborator, who works well with others and appreciates feedback.
Experienced with various stages of the creative process, with the ability to support the team from concept to execution across multiple projects.
Must be proactive and take initiative, requiring minimal supervision on day-to-day tasks
Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize
Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to manage various types of people
Must have (Slack, Trello, Zoom)
