Halloween is one of the biggest nights of the year, especially in New York City. Millions are out all night attending events including the Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village, going to see Seance: Murder Mystery Dinner Theater in Times Square, or hanging out at bars drinking their Halloween-themed drinks. While residents of New York City are celebrating, people in New Brunswick New Jersey have their own festivities.
On October 29th the Annual Corazon Latino Festival & “Trick or Treat Around Town” celebration takes place. Families gather together for music, games, food, and trick-or-treating in Monument Square Park.
Eventbrite.com shares more details about the festival and its celebration of Latino culture, “Enjoy traditional music and dances celebrating the culmination of Latinx Heritage Month, participate in a Community Mural installation, face painting, and enjoy trick or treating parades.”
This festival is a great way for people to witness the beauty of the Latino culture. Dia Los Muertos is one of the most famous holidays in Latino history. It’s a time for remembrance, and it shows how much Latinos value family and honor their ancestors. If you’ve never gone to this festival and you live in the area you should stop by and bring your families too.
