1 Ausangate Mountain, Peru
Rainbow Mountain is a part of the Ausangate Mountains in Peru and is regarded as one of the most breathtaking sights in the world! To get to Rainbow Mountain, visitors must hike the Ausangate Trek, which while moderately strenuous, is widely considered to be well worth it for the unique view.

2 Iguazu Falls, Brazil/Argentina/Paraguay
The Iguazu Falls are shared by Argentina and Brazil, while the Iguaçu River flows through Paraguay to eventually feed into the series of waterfalls. On the Brazilian side of the falls, tourists can walk along the lower base of the falls, where people can see the vibrant blue water and the beautiful flora and fauna in and around both the Iguaçu River and the base of the falls.

3 Patagonia, Chile
Patagonia is considered one of the most beautiful places on Earth because of the great diversity in its landscapes and wildlife. Spanning several provinces in Argentina, parts of Chile, and a portion of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, Patagonia is home to everything, from glaciers, to towns, to penguins!

4 Izamal, Mexico
Izamal Mexico is known for stunning visitors with its Spanish architecture and vibrant yellow that covers almost every building. No one knows why so many buildings in Izamal are yellow. However, it is thought that the town was painted yellow to make it more interesting for a 1993 visit by Pope John Paul II. Another theory cites Mayan influence- painting buildings yellow honors the sun god Kinich Kakmó.

5 Granada, Nicaragua
Located in southwestern Nicaragua, the city of Granada is known for its gorgeous Spanish architecture that includes lavish mansions and huge, ornate churches. Much of the beauty of this city comes from the color palette of these buildings, many being yellow, pink, or bright orange.

6 Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia
The world’s largest salt flat, spanning 4,050 square miles, consists of a thick crust of salt that was left behind by prehistoric lakes that evaporated millions of years ago. Periodically throughout the year, nearby lakes overflow and a thin layer of water forms on top of the massive stretch of flat land that reflects the sky. This often creates a mirror effect which creates an otherworldly view.

7 Cartagena, Colombia
In addition to being a beautiful, vibrant city similar to Granada in architecture and color palette, Cartagena boasts a litany of beautiful sandy beaches. There are many Insta-worthy sites both on and off the beach for tourists to take pictures and celebrate the rich history of this city!

8 Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, Costa Rica
Known as the forest where you can ‘touch the clouds,’ the best way to describe this forest reserve is green! Everywhere you look, beautiful, vibrant shades of green greet you and invite you in for a hike. Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is home to more than 3,200 species of plants, and the hour and a half hike provides plenty of opportunities to appreciate nature.
