As adults, we’re always telling kids to dream big or to reach for the stars. Well, one little girl is an example of how dreams can become a reality if you put in hard work and never let anything stand in your way. Adhara Pérez Sánchez is a science prodigy and soon to be a recipient of a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at just eleven years old.
I was amazed upon hearing her story; Adhara was the object of bullying while she was in school for being smart but, she never let what her classmates thought about her stop her from pursuing a good education. A website Goalcast.com shared that at the age of eight, she graduated high school and went on to the University of Arizona.
It is remarkable that someone so young has already achieved so much and she is already looking ahead to the future. In an interview with NBCSanDiego in 2020, Adhara shared her dreams of one day becoming an astronaut and gave the reporters a sneak peek at her latest project saying, “I’m making a bracelet that measures kid’s emotions and then parents will be able to see what emotion their kids have by checking a phone, tablet or computer,” Best of luck in the future Adhara, keep reaching for the stars.
